House. Mid to late C18, altered C19. Red brick, rendered timber frame to rear. Steeply pitched tiled roof. 4 bays. 2 storeys, cellar and attic. Ground floor: carriageway through in right bay with half height gates and moulded brackets to head. To left of centre is entrance with steps and wreathed railings up to 6 raised panelled door with a rectangular fanlight, reeded architrave. Flanking 16 pane glazing bar sashes, recessed with segmental heads. Plinth with a cellar window to right. First floor 16 pane sashes with a blocked opening over entrance. 3 hipped dormers with small horizontal sliding sashes. Left end, moulded kneelers to gable parapet, internal end stack. Cross axial ridge stack to right of centre. Scattered casements to rear. Extending to rear left are 1 storey C18 and C19 weatherboarded service and former stabling ranges, casements and a ridge stack on a steeply pitched roof towards house, shop with a slate roof towards rear. Interior not inspected. Formerly the Royal Oak Public House.
