Description
Bucklers Hall is a house dating from the 17th century, and possibly earlier. It features a timber-framed structure with plaster and an old tile roof, arranged in an L shape. The long range has a cross wing on the west side, which includes a tall mid-17th century chimneystack with a square base, multiple diagonal shafts, and moulded top courses. The gable end displays a moulded bargeboard and a carved apex pendant. The building has two storeys with attics in the cross wing. The main range features a deeply jettied upper floor and modern casement windows. There is a modern one and two-storey extension to the east of the central chimneystack. At the rear, a 17th-century stair turret is located in the angle, weatherboarded with a tile roof. Inside the upper floor of the front range, there are 17th-century plaster decorations.
