Description
Nos. 17, 19, and 21 Bull Plain are two houses that have been converted into offices, built around 1820 with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed of yellow stock brick laid in Flemish bond and feature Welsh-slated gambrel roofs.
The buildings are two storeys high and have three dormers with catslide roofs and lead cheeks. The left-hand dormer has wooden casements, while the other two have small paned sash windows. There are three yellow brick chimneystacks with oversailing courses along the ridge line. On the first floor, there are three wooden sash windows with small panes, which are recessed with plain painted wood reveals and have heads under the eaves. The ground floor features similar windows under rubbed flat arches.
There are three doorways, each recessed in plain painted wood reveals with stone step thresholds. No. 17 has a flat door hood supported by cut brackets, a flush-panelled door, and a slim fanlight. No. 19 has a modern half-glazed door set within the original frame, accompanied by iron railings to the right. No. 21 features a modern glazed hardwood door and frame. The interior has not been inspected.
