Description

Stumbledon is a pair of houses that have been converted into one residence, dating from the early 19th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed of red brick with black headers, and it is semi-detached. It is situated on a bank next to the road, facing west. The roofs are hipped and covered with slate, featuring plastered eaves soffits and external gable chimneys. At the rear, there is a narrow two-storey wing. The ground floor has segmental arches and sash windows with 6/6 panes. In the centre, there are two round-arched doorways with recessed four-panel flush beaded doors. The first floor has sash windows with 6/6 and 8/8 panes. The building is located on an important site within the Conservation Area and is included for its group value.
