Description

The Brewery comprises a 19th-century brewery complex located in Furneaux Pelham. The main brewery building is constructed of brick with an asbestos cement sheet roof. It is two storeys high, with accommodation incorporated into the roofspace. It features original industrial metal windows with curved heads and a central entrance with a sack hoist positioned above. Adjacent is a former malting building of brick construction with an asbestos cement sheet and slate roof, and a cellar beneath. A former coopers' shop stands nearby, incorporating brickwork and weatherboard cladding, topped with a slate roof, and extending to two storeys. Finally, the original lodge is rendered and colour-washed, with a slate roof and double-hung sash windows.
