Description

The Chantry House is a building with origins dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, which has been altered in the 18th century and later. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with weatherboarding and a plain tiled roof. The house has a linear plan and consists of two storeys. It includes casement windows and a central front entrance doorway that is sheltered by a tiled porch. There are one axial and two gable brick chimney stacks. The building was formerly known as the Yew Tree Inn, and there is a weatherboarded and tiled garage located to the east.
