Description

The Well House is a 17th century or earlier building located on the west side of The Causeway in Furneux Pelham. It features a timber frame that is plastered and weatherboarded, topped with a tiled roof. The structure is two stories high, with a main central range and a cross wing at the southern end, both gabled at each end. The windows include double hung sash windows and casement windows. A modern timber canopy with supporting posts is positioned over the main entrance doorway. Notable architectural features include a large early central chimney stack with shafts set diagonally, as well as a large external chimney stack on the east elevation.
