Description

The Beer House at Green Street Cottage, located 10 metres north of the house, is a small structure dating from the 17th or 18th century. This timber-framed and plastered farm beer house measures 3 metres square and features a pyramidal thatched roof with low eaves. It is constructed with a post at each corner and has a brick floor. The building has no openings except for a plank door on the east side, positioned against the corner. The roof is constructed in an archaic style, made of straw built up from a horizontal framework of poles, carefully thatched to create a steep square pyramid shape. The building is currently used as a garden store.
