Description
Washall Green Farmhouse is a cottage dating from the 16th to 17th century. It is timber framed and rendered, with a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features an original cross wing at the eastern end, which has a gambrel roof. A later wing was added to the western end of the house, likely replacing the original service bay. The axial chimney stack has a central shaft that has been rebuilt above the ridge level. There are 19th-century brick chimney stacks built into each cross wing, both with square shafts set diagonally. With one exception, all the windows are modern casements. The rear of the house has a large modern extension that has been heavily restored.
