Description
This is a late 16th and early 17th century timber-frame house. It was originally known as Old Hall Farm, Moor Place. The house is plastered, with some modern decorative pargetting applied to the exterior. The roof is covered in old tiles. A tall, central chimney stack, built in the later 17th century, is made of red brick and has a square base with multiple diagonal shafts. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised four bays, with a fifth bay added in the later 17th century. This later bay has an ovolo moulded floor beam. The other bays have chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The east-facing elevation has four windows with modern leaded casements, and a central, modern, tile-roofed porch. A modern garage is attached to the north side of the building.
