Description

The Old School House is a house dating from the 16th or early 17th century. It is timber-framed with a brick plinth, roughcast render, weatherboarded sections, and steep roofs covered in old red tiles. The main block is a long, two-story, three-window facade facing south. A small, single-story west extension has a steeply pitched tile roof. A two-story gabled bathroom extension is located at the rear. A large internal gable chimney is present at the west end, and a smaller external gable chimney at the east end. The south front features flush casement windows with two or three lights, and a central enclosed porch. The western room contains an open fireplace with a beam above it. The eastern room has a very heavy beam. Exposed timbers and original doors are visible throughout.
