Description
No. 18 Bell Street is an early 19th century, or possibly older, building that has been remodeled. It features a timber-framed and plastered upper floor, with a ground floor made of whitewashed brick. The roof is low pitched and covered with slate, having overhanging eaves and a plastered soffit. There is an internal gable chimney on the west side and a passage leading to a yard on the east. The rear has lower extensions. The front of the building is asymmetrical, with two flush sash windows that have moulded architraves and consist of 6/6 and 8/8 panes. There is also a modern mullioned shop window and a separate door. The rendered plinth is painted. This building is listed for its group value.
