Description
The gazebo located south of Wells Yard in Ware Town dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and was altered in the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a stuccoed brick plinth, with painted weatherboarding and a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate. The roof has lead roll hips and a ball finial at the apex. The structure is a single storey with a canted bay and modern multi-paned casements overlooking the river. The north elevation includes a half-glazed door framed by an architrave surround, topped with a flat door hood supported by cut profiled console brackets. The gazebo is now situated within the grounds of flats built in the 1970s, which are not of interest and not included in the listing.
