Description
91 High Street is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber frame with pargetted rendering and has been rebuilt at the rear using red and yellow stock brick, along with some weatherboarding. The roof is tiled. The house consists of two cells and has one storey plus an attic, with the gable end facing the road.
The ground floor has a blocked entrance, a 15-pane fixed window to the left, and a smaller 20-pane sash window to the right. In the attic, there is a 16-pane sash window, all with flush frames. The building displays exposed plates and purlins. On the left side, there is a four-panelled architraved door with brickwork towards the rear, which includes an early 18th-century recessed 12-pane sash window and a smaller 9-pane sash window, along with a gabled dormer. An inserted stack is located on the left pitch.
The right side features a stock brick external stack towards the front, with weatherboarding on the ground floor and casement windows in stock brick towards the rear. There is also a rear gable end external stack and a pantiled outshut at the back. Inside, some exposed framing and curved windbraces can be seen.
