The sundial at Ragged Hall, located 9 meters north of the house, dates from 1716 and is set on an early 20th-century pedestal. It features a brass plate and gnomon mounted on a buff terra-cotta moulded pedestal. The square dial plate measures about 200 millimeters and has an angular openwork gnomon. The pedestal consists of a square-section terra-cotta pillar approximately one meter high, with square top and base. Each face of the shaft is adorned with lotus leaf ornamentation.
