Description
Church Lane House, originally a parsonage, is now divided into two houses. It dates from around 1835, with a service wing added after 1838, as indicated by the Tithe Map. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a low-pitched Welsh slate roof with an eaves overhang. The garden front, known as Church Lane House, has a central projection with a pediment. It stands two storeys high and has a first-floor sill band. The facade includes a pattern of two, one, and three sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor windows have surrounds, and the first floor is fitted with louvered shutters.
On the left side of the central ground floor projection is a four-panel door topped with a fanlight that has glazing bars, set within an arched reveal featuring an arched panel and imposts. The entrance from the north has a wrought iron porch, while the western part, Church Gate, includes a roof ridge bell turret. There are outside steps leading to a first-floor door, and the property is enclosed by a high flint wall and iron gates.
