Description

The Court House is a 16th-century building, significantly restored in the 19th century. It is constructed with red brickwork and knapped flints on the ground floor, and features a jettied timber-frame first floor. The roof is covered with old tiles. 19th-century casement windows are present. Historically, this building served as the site of the Borough Court or Port Mote. It was later used as a national school.
