Description

This is a house, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier, with a later 20th-century wing added to the west. The original house is timber-framed with a brick sill; sections are exposed timber framing with red brick infill, others are brick-cased, and some are dark weatherboarding. It has a steep roof covered with old red tiles. The original house is a long, one-and-a-half-story structure facing west, with a prominent brick chimney projecting from the north gable. Two gabled dormers are visible at the eaves on the east side, each containing a two-light casement window with small panes of glass. There are three small ground-floor windows with two-light casements or Yorkshire sliding casements, flush with the wall. The south end is weatherboarded. Lean-to timber-framed projections with tiled roofs extend from the north chimney. The one-and-a-half-story west wing features two gabled dormers and a six-panel door sheltered by a tiled canopy, connecting it to a bay window set at an angle with the older section of the house. A small window and garage door are located to the right. The property was formerly known as The Old Laundry.
