Description

The building is a house, dating to the 16th century with a substantial addition of 1637. The front elevation was reworked in the mid-19th century, with plastering and later, imitation half-timbering and pargeting. It is two storeys and has an attic gable, featuring four windows. There are Tudor hood moulds above the casements and an ornamental bargeboard to the gable. A door pediment is supported on scrolls. A large chimney stack is situated on the north side, comprising three conjoined shafts.

The interior contains a large staircase from the mid-17th century, with fluted balusters, rusticated newel posts and scrolled finials. Reused 17th-century panelling and reeded pilasters are featured in a north-facing first-floor room. A 1637 red brick rear wing is three storeys high with six bays. It has plain Doric pilasters on the north side and a cemented second story with triangular and segmental pediments. Diagonal chimney stacks are located on the south side of the wing.
