Description
This is a 17th and 18th century former boundary wall located on the north side of Number 14 Taylors Avenue and on the north side of Number 1 Oxenden Drive in Hoddesdon. The wall is made of red brick and measures approximately 40 metres long and 3 metres high, featuring a sloped brick coping. The eastern half, adjacent to Number 14 Taylors Avenue, dates from the 17th century, while the western half, near Number 1 Oxenden Drive, is from the 18th century, likely around 1730. This section includes flat buttresses connected to a plain plinth. There is an arch-headed entrance towards the east, which has a key block and a wrought iron gate from the 18th century.
