Description
The Saffron Hotel, part of a former house, dates from the 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure that is rendered, with large panels and coved plaster eaves. The gabled roof is covered in plain tiles and includes two flat-roofed 20th-century dormers. The building has two storeys and attics.
On the first floor, there are three windows, each with three lights and central horizontal glazing bars, with the centre light designed to slide horizontally. The ground floor showcases two projecting canted bay windows that have convex curved soffits. The central entrance door consists of four moulded panels and is topped with a flat hood supported by brackets, framed by a moulded architrave. Additionally, there is a flat-topped carriage entrance with gates leading to the rear yard. Inside, some framing is exposed, and the roof features side purlins.
