Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres north of Great Jenkins Farmhouse, dates back to around 1600. It features a five-bay timber frame, with sections of black weatherboarding and rendered areas. The barn has an off-centre, gabled midstrey, and its roof is covered with peg tiles and has a half-hipped design. The timber frame includes jowled posts with halved and bridled scarf joints, along with numerous long flat wall braces. The roof structure consists of side purlins that are supported by curved V struts.
