Description

River Cottage is an early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house. It is two storeys high and has a two-window front, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. A central doorway is sheltered by a shallow hood supported on brackets. The roof is slate, low-pitched and hipped, with a central chimney stack. A "Sun" fire insurance sign, dated 1826, is affixed to the front of the building.
