Description

Gaines Cottage is an early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house. It has two storeys, featuring a two-window arrangement on the front and a single window on each end. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, and the ground storey windows have panelled shutters. There is a central doorway that is topped with a hooded porch. The roof is covered with slate.
