Description

Small Corner is a cottage that dates from the 16th century or earlier and the 18th century. It is two storeys tall at the front, constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a gabled peg tile roof. The front features 20th-century metal casements with horizontal small panes. The rear shows that two-thirds of the building has a one-storey elevation with attics, including two flat-roofed dormers set into a gambrel roof. Inside, there is evidence that the entire block was raised, and remnants of a substantial timber-framed bay can be found at the west end, featuring jowled posts. The front roof slope has two red brick stacks.
