Description

Felsted Bury is a house dating from the early 16th century and the 16th century, with 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations. It is an H-shaped building with a plain red-tiled roof to the gable ends. A two-storey gable porch is positioned off-centre to the right. The front has a three-window range of 20th-century sliding sash windows, with the ground floor windows set within bricked red plain-tiled bays. The porch features an arched door surround. A rear wing to the left is of early 16th-century origin, spanning four bays, with a 16th-century extension. There is the potential for an earlier date of the 14th century for the right wing. The building displays good 18th and 19th-century detailing, and has five red brick chimney stacks.
