Description
The Cottage next to the Post Office in Glenleigh is a mid to late 19th-century building that is part of a range of semi-detached houses designed to accommodate agricultural workers. Each pair of houses features an individually designed front, making it an advanced project for its time. The cottage is constructed of yellow brick, with red brick surrounds around the door and windows. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Notably, the south house has a window where the doorway was originally located. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, featuring a central ridge chimney stack.
