Description

The Mill is a late 19th-century steam mill located on the site of a former post mill, currently used for light industrial purposes. The building has two storeys and an attic, topped with a grey slate roof. It is constructed of brick, featuring a central gabled hoist loft that is timber framed and weatherboarded, with straight braces and central windows. The first floor has three ranges of small paned iron windows with segmental brick arches, while the ground floor has two ranges of similar windows. A central boarded door with lights above provides access. To the right, there is a two-storey extension that is also weatherboarded, with sliding shutters on the ground floor windows and one window above. To the left, there is a small lean-to addition with a plain boarded door and a grey slate roof.
