Description
This is a 17th-century barn with 18th-century alterations, located approximately 15 metres northeast of Yeomans. The barn is timber-framed and weatherboarded, with a roof made of corrugated iron. It consists of six bays, featuring a midstrey, and the western bay is partitioned from the rest. The two bays to the east of the midstrey have jowled wallposts and cambered tiebeams with curved braces. In contrast, the posts to the west of the midstrey are unjowled, with straight tiebeams and hanging knees, indicating the 18th-century alterations. The barn has primary straight bracing in the walls throughout. The single western bay has always been used for the storage of a different product, such as chaff.
