Description

Park Gate House is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century. It comprises two ranges: a double-fronted range facing the road, and an earlier range, likely from the 16th century or before, situated at the rear. The rear range has been re-clad in flint with red brick detailing during the 19th century. The front range is rendered and has two storeys and a cellar. It features three windows with leaded casements within timber frames. A 18th-century six-panel door is set beneath a slanted canopy supported by brackets, approached by three steps with curved rails and balusters. The rear range incorporates a gabled dormer and a single window below, with small-paned metal casements in a Gothick head design, and a plain wooden door. The roof is covered with plain red tiles throughout.
