Description

Lewismead is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with later additions. It has a 1/2-hipped red plain tile roof and a gable-ended crosswing. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with two storeys and three-range windows. These windows contain sash glazing with small glazing bars. There is a 19th-century tiled, gabled porch. Inside, the house features an inglenook, a bread oven, and an 18th-century open-string staircase.
