Description

This building, located approximately 17 yards to the west of Elizabeth House on the north side of High Street in Great Chesterford, is a 17th-century former public house known as The Three Horseshoes. It is timber-framed and plastered, set back and positioned at right angles to the street, featuring a gable facing the street. The house has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied at the south end. The front has one window range, which consists of small horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a six-panel door, and the roof is tiled, featuring an original chimney stack at the north end with two shafts set diagonally.
