Description

Barn Cottage is a former almshouse, dating from the 18th to 19th century. It is a timber-framed and plastered building set on a brick base, standing two storeys tall. The cottage features a four-window range; the upper storey has small casement windows, while the ground storey has a mix of partly horizontal sliding sashes and double-hung sashes. The roofs are covered with slate and there are two central square chimney stacks.
