Description
Priors is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on the east side of Elsenham Tye Green. The building stands two storeys high and features a tile-hung gable. The front has three windows, which are casements with leaded lights, including some older leaded casements. The doorway is adorned with carved spandrels, and there are panels of old pargetting. The roof is tiled and has two central chimney stacks with hexagonal grouped shafts that have been rebuilt, resting on square and rectangular bases. Inside, there is a room that showcases Tudor plaster motifs above a hearth beam.
