Description

Nos 8 and 10 on Town Street in Thaxted are 19th-century houses that are timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The buildings are two storeys tall and feature a three-window range of double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. The centre window on the first floor has a 19th-century iron design with a semi-circular head. There are red brick chimney stacks, and the ground floor has been altered to accommodate modern shops.
