Description

Maytree House is an early 16th century house that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with a tile-hung gable at the south end and a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and was originally designed with a three-window range of double-hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars; however, it now has an additional two-window range of wind casements. There is an extension at the north end that has a lower roof, and the house includes a gabled porch and red brick chimney stacks. A staircase tower is located at the rear of the property.
