Description
Three tombs belonging to the Bull family are located approximately 60 to 66 metres northwest of the northwest corner of the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Little Dunmow. This group of three tombs represents various types found in the churchyard and is situated on the north side, between trees, about 100 feet from the church's north wall.
The first tomb features head and foot stones with three curves, enclosing a tomb with six square side panels, topped by a ridged stone. The second tomb is an apse-ended sarcophagus with a moulded base and rim, topped with a triangular apse-ended stone, all resting on a plain stone base. The third tomb has a moulded arched headstone, with a stone base enclosed by cast iron railings that have ornate heads.
