Description
Monks Hall is a house dating from the 15th century, featuring a half H-shape plan. It has a red plain tile roof and a timber frame that is partially exposed and plastered. The building showcases exposed joists and brackets on both crosswing jetties and jowled storey posts. It stands two storeys high with attics in the crosswings, while the central hall is a single storey. The window arrangement consists of a 1:2:1 pattern of diamond leaded casements. There are two central plank and muntin doors set in an arched frame, which have added carvings. A square red brick chimney stack rises from the central hall.
