Description

This cottage, located immediately west of Monks Hall, dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and is covered in weatherboarding. The building has one storey and an attic, topped with a thatched roof featuring two catslide slate dormers. The front has a two-window arrangement with small pane casements. To the left, there is a plank and muntin door, which is sheltered by a pentice board above it. A square brick chimney stack is positioned at the center of the cottage.
