Description
Priory Place is a house that likely dates back to the early 14th century. It features a hall with two crosswings and is constructed from timber framing and plaster, showcasing exposed saltire bracing on the gables of the crosswings and visible brackets. The roof is covered with plain red tiles and includes two gabled dormers. The front of the house has a range of four diamond leaded casement windows and a central doorway. A distinctive central chimney stack made of red brick is designed in a concertina style. Inside, both crosswings have crown post roofs. The top plate features scarfs that are stop-splayed with undersquinted butts and four face pegs. Detailed drawings of the house can be found in Hewet's work from 1969.
