Description
The Old Rectory is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier, with alterations and additions made in the 19th century and later. It is constructed of red brick and features red plain tiled roofs. The building has a double range design with end chimney stacks and an extension to the northeast that has a grey slate roof. It stands two storeys tall.
On the south face, there is a parapet and a modillioned brick cornice, along with a five-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes. The entrance is marked by a Tuscan doorcase topped with a wooden pediment. The north face includes a central band and a five-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes on the first floor, while the ground floor has three light casements with transoms, all featuring gauged brick arches. A central brick porch is present, which has a segmental head to the parapet, a band, and a painted round-headed archway with a keystone and imposts, leading to a four-panel, two-light door.
