Description
The Kings Arms Public House is a public house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with painted brick that has faded over time, a dentilled eaves cornice, and plastered returns. The building has central and external left red brick chimney stacks and a red plain tiled roof. To the left, there is a single storey lean-to. The structure is two storeys high and has a central band. The first floor includes three vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars, two small paned casements, and a similar vertically sliding sash window on the ground floor. There is a 20th-century glazed door aligned with the chimney stack. Inside, there is a restored back-to-back inglenook fireplace, heavy storey posts, wall studs, bridging, and ceiling joists on the ground floor.
