Description

The Old Custom House is a 19th-century building that has been converted into a dwelling. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding and has brick facing on the right side. The roof is covered with grey slate and the building stands two stories tall. There are five windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, primarily consisting of small-paned vertically sliding sashes with horns. The entrance includes left and central vertically boarded doors, with double vertically boarded doors situated between them. A metal hood with a fleur-de-lis finial adorns the left door. The building was rented to Her Majesty's Customs around 1870 by Captain W. Fieldgate.
