Description

The Statue of Queen Victoria, located on Marine Parade in Dovercourt, was erected in 1905. It is made of white marble and stands on a white granite plinth that features bronze lettering. The life-size figure depicts Queen Victoria holding an orb and sceptre, although the figure is partly damaged and missing its crown at the time of the survey. The plinth is slightly tapering and rests on two white granite steps, all of which are set on a large rubble base that has been built out from the natural cliff face.
