Description
Oak House is a house dating from the 16th century, with later alterations. It has a timber frame, is faced with red brick, and features pebble dashed returns. The roof is hipped with gablets and covered with red plain tiles. There is a truncated rear brick chimney stack. The building is in an L-shape, with two storeys and a one-storey rear wing that includes an attic. The front has a range of four windows with segmental arches, all of which were boarded at the time of the re-survey. The frame consists of two bays with jowled storey posts, and it includes chamfered braces and a collar to what was originally an open roof.
