Description

The White Hart Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed of timber framing and weatherboarding, with a red plain tiled roof. A central red brick chimney stack is on the right-hand range, with a plastered return. The left wing projects forward, with a hipped roof to the road and a dormer to the apex. The building is two storeys and attics to the left wing, and two storeys to the right range. There is a 1:2 window range of vertically sliding sashes. A 20th-century plank and muntin door is located on the right return of the left wing and to the left of the right range. The inn is said to contain some original panelling and carved panels above the fireplace.
