Description

Urn and stone pedestal, C18/C19 with later repairs. Stone, septaria, brick and rubble.

The pedestal takes the form of a column about 1.5 metres high, with stone quoins. The south face is patched with brick and contains a plaque, the inscription on which is unreadable. The column is surmounted by a stone slab at the centre of which is an urn with scalloped sides, a rounded and moulded stem and base, and a slender moulded raised lid with a ball head on a moulded stem.
