Description
The building is a former stables or outbuilding associated with No. 9 High Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red Flemish-bond brick and features a Welsh slate roof. The structure has two low storeys and is connected to the contemporary red brick boundary wall of No. 9 High Street.
On the front elevation, there are two boarded loft-access doors on the upper floor. The ground floor includes two small three-pane ventilator windows with segmental heads, as well as two door openings with arched heads; one of these has been widened and now features a steel lintel above it. The rear elevation, which faces the garden, has a small lean-to extension, and the lower part consists of an older brick wall. There is an off-centre door with ventilator holes in the brickwork above it. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its historical significance and its group value with the adjacent property.
