Description

This is a wall forming the northern boundary of the churchyard of St Mary’s Church. It likely incorporates fabric from the medieval period, but the visible structure is primarily the result of rebuilding in the 18th and 19th centuries. The wall is constructed of rubble stone, flint, and septaria, with later additions in red brick laid in mixed bonds. It averages 2 metres in height and includes ramps that rise to the west and fall with the contour of the hill to the east.
