Description

The Green Man is a public house with origins dating back to the 17th or 18th century, featuring a front range from the 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick with a red plain tiled roof and has a dentilled eaves cornice. There are red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to extension with a grey slate roof. At the rear, there is a plastered gabled wing. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes set in moulded surrounds. The central entrance features a 20th-century red tiled open pediment porch supported by timber. The door is also from the 20th century and has small paned side lights.
